Let's Work, Don't Talk Too Much. I convey this sentence as an "invitation" to the community that I, Taman Daun volunteers, and the community will repair badly damaged roads by ourselves rather than expecting from local government.

When we visited Puor B Village to see the progress of the English learning class on Saturday, November 27, 2021 with our volunteer friends, we encountered another problem in this village. So far, the community has found difficulty because the road access to Lewoleba city is badly damaged, especially from Puor Village to Belabaja Village. During the discussion, I proposed to the community to build roads and we agreed to take over this task that supposed to be the responsibility of local government. For the sake of the safety of our life and happiness, we build our road self-subsistent, financed by ourselves and using our own local resources.

In December, we have carried out road repairs twice, on December 13 and 20, 2021. Our road repairs have been carried out in the area that connects two sub-districts, Nagawutun and Wulandoni, especially in Puor Village. Similar to the previous road repairs, our road repairs are carried out by spirit of communal work, Gemohing.

The work is finished on 22 December. It become a gift from the villagers for the local community, State officers and all parties outside and inside Lembata. I feel so touched by the sincerity of the community. Despite their limitation, all together work very hard, work hand in hand to build their own road for the sake of our beloved regency and the safety for many many people.

Today also beautifies the celebration of Mother's Day. The road we built together is to facilitate women's access to public. With safe roads, our mothers who want to go to the market no longer complain of body pain or are not afraid of accidents.

"We can dance while walking on our road", happy jokes from all Puor's mothers.
